GM do Brasil Master Plan

ACM assisted in developing a Long Term Master Plan for 2008 and beyond for GM do Brasil.  The plan helped to establish the “best value” solution for its current sites located in Sao Pauo, Brazil.

The plan became necessary due to the manufacturer’s immediate and potential long-term growth that will allow the facilities to better align capital expenditures with the business needs.

Currently, the campuses in Brazil accommodate 5,067 people in seven (7) locations in established urban areas.  The campuses already have multiple parking and security issues, with very little room for expansion.  The expected growth is 474 additional people.

The process involved meeting with the functional departments to validate the long range demand for people and space based on the expected growth projection.  Two workshops were held with participants to collect information, establish parameters, and generate solutions to help the region accommodate the growth.  The workshop approach ensured consensus so that the solution would benefit the entire organization.

At the conclusion of the workshop, three options were presented as alternative plans for moving forward.
