This project combined involvement from the university’s construction, plant, facilities and maintenance, and event departments. Contractors and vendors were also utilized to provide services and products to support the event.
ACM reported and delivered its master schedule to the University’s Office of the Associate Vice President for Facility and Operations. ACM attended meetings and combined information from all of the various sources involved to create a master schedule of activities. The activities were then categorized into three major areas, including pre-commencement, commencement day, and post-commencement activities. ACM conducted an independent validation review of selected critical activity durations.
ACM also provided its independent review of several detailed items including a seating time study for the graduates and for the audience, review of shuttle capacity and cycle times, time required to clean the seating prior to the event, as well as a general review of activities and timing.
