ACM performed a review of the plan, specifications, project estimate, and met with CPG personnel. From the information gathered, ACM personnel developed a resource loaded and cost loaded critical path method (CPM) schedule for the mechanical work. This schedule was provided to the construction manager for incorporation into the overall project schedule.
The schedule was used to manage the mechanical work, plan, forecast, and control resource usage and requirements. The construction manager and all of the major subcontractors used the schedule for payment application and approval.
ACM had a senior project controls engineer assigned on a full-time basis to the project. This individual was responsible for update and maintenance of the mechanical schedule and provided payment request documentation. In addition to the routine functions, the ACM senior project controls engineer performed special studies, assisted with project administration, and provided additional assistance in coordination of work in the field.
ACM developed a labor tracking program and tracked labor for the project duration. This tracking program produced information instrumental in the development of a claim against the general contractor which ACM assisted with. ACM also assisted with developing the claim against the general contractor.
