The client purchased another transmission company and successful coordination of the transition had to occur in order for the acquisition to be completed. ACM was responsible for the development of a detailed, cross-functional integration plan to support the transition of three functional activities including supply chain management, field operations and maintenance, and asset management. ACM provided coordination, scheduling, and meeting facilitation for the functional activity’s integration teams and their respective directors, as well as monitoring and updating integration plans/schedules. Additionally, ACM provided support for the transition steering committee under the client’s chief operating officer.
ACM was also responsible for developing a plan and facilitating inspection of approximately 300 acquired locations. The site inspections were necessary to ensure all operating documents were established and field-verified, that operating equipment was cataloged for inclusion in the maintenance management system, and ownership/authority of joint-owned sites were clarified. In addition, the client needed to understand physical operating conditions, repairs, and that all proper safety precautions were in place.
