Critical Path Method Schedulers

View Standard Candidate Qualifications

Must be experienced in critical path method (CPM) scheduling by utilizing Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other project management software program. Resource and/or cost loading experience is a plus.  Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the construction, petrochemical, and/or utility industries.

Schedulers Must Be Able To:

  • Develop and update weekly schedules working with owner and contractor superintendents, field engineers, and project managers;
  • Evaluate project schedule progress, performance and proactively identify developing problem areas;
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to project completion and recommend alternative work paths;
  • Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

Candidates also must be able to engage and effectively communicate with project team members to receive and produce schedule information; participate fully and effectively in all project meetings and discussions; and support the management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.

Project Controls Engineers / Analysts

Project Controls Engineers, Analysts, and Cost Estimators should be experienced in budgeting, forecasting, earned value, reporting, critical path method management, and risk management.  ACM seeks qualified candidates for entry-level, mid-level, senior-level, and consultant-level work who have hands-on experience within the construction, utility, and/or heavy industrial industries.

Project Controls Engineers, Analysts, and Cost Estimators have experience performing routine tasks related to the collection of data required to prepare reliable estimates, monitor budgets against estimates for a specific portion of a project, applying the principles and techniques of resource monitoring of specific tasks related to the project,  and performing non-routine cost/estimating assignments.  These assignments require the selection and application of resource monitoring and control principles, techniques, and technical knowledge of a construction project.  As trends are identified, engaging in communication to management is required to alleviate and/or mitigate potential concerns.

View Standard Candidate Qualifications

Candidate will have at least two (2) years of project coordination and management experience in the construction industry.  Position(s) are within the manufacturing and utility industries.

Planners are responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and determining schedule status including identification of problem areas requiring timely resolution.  Equivalent field/office experience as well as the ability to travel is preferred.  Strong oral and written skills are required.

Project Managers

Candidate will have at least two (2) of project coordination and management experience in the construction industry.  Position(s) are within the manufacturing and utility industries.

Provide overall management direction for projects. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.  Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities. Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.  Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client.
