This tailored course is a presentation of the principles of planning and scheduling, which result in effective management of projects in order to remain competitive and successful in today’s economy. The course includes scheduling fundamentals with interactive sections on developing the plan for a project, creating a critical path network, and calculating the forward and backward passes. The course also includes discussions of schedule analysis, progress updating, principles and practices of resource allocation and leveling; principles and practices of earned value schedule and cost performance indices for managing projects; the differences between status, progress, and performance measurement; calculations; and incorporating change through a Time Impact Analysis (TIA). The training concludes with a hands-on interactive Time Impact Analysis development exercise.
